महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-11, verse-44

वरुणस्य सभायां तु नागास्ते कथिता विभो ।
दैत्येन्द्राश्चैव भूयिष्ठाः सरितः सागरास्तथा ॥४४॥
44. varuṇasya sabhāyāṁ tu nāgāste kathitā vibho ,
daityendrāścaiva bhūyiṣṭhāḥ saritaḥ sāgarāstathā.
44. varuṇasya sabhāyām tu nāgāḥ te kathitāḥ vibho
daityendrāḥ ca eva bhūyiṣṭhāḥ saritaḥ sāgarāḥ tathā
44. But in Varuṇa's assembly, O powerful one, the Nāgas were described by you, and also most of the chief Daityas, along with rivers and oceans.
