महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-85, verse-34

तदा स वारुणः ख्यातो भृगुः प्रसवकर्मकृत् ।
आग्नेयस्त्वङ्गिराः श्रीमान्कविर्ब्राह्मो महायशाः ।
भार्गवाङ्गिरसौ लोके लोकसंतानलक्षणौ ॥३४॥
34. tadā sa vāruṇaḥ khyāto bhṛguḥ prasavakarmakṛt ,
āgneyastvaṅgirāḥ śrīmānkavirbrāhmo mahāyaśāḥ ,
bhārgavāṅgirasau loke lokasaṁtānalakṣaṇau.

prasavakarmakṛt tu aṅgirāḥ āgneyaḥ
śrīmān kaviḥ brāhmaḥ mahāyaśāḥ
bhārgavāṅgirasau loke lokasaṃtānalakṣaṇau
34. Then, that Bhṛgu, renowned as Vāruṇa (son of Varuṇa), was a progenitor. And Aṅgiras, the son of Agni, was glorious; Kavi, the son of Brahmā, was greatly renowned. Bhṛgu and Aṅgiras (referring to their lineages) are known in the world as symbols of the world's continuity.
