Similarly, from the removal of ashes, the Vaikhānasa ascetics, who were comparable to groups of brahmin sages (brahmaṛṣi), arose, earnestly seeking the virtues of asceticism (tapas) and sacred knowledge. From his ear, the two Aśvins, renowned for their beautiful forms, were born.
