पितामहस्य यद्वृत्तं ब्रह्मणः परमात्मनः ॥१॥

Vasiṣṭha said: "O Rāma, I have also formerly heard this revelation of (brahman), which is the account concerning my grandfather, Brahmā, the supreme (paramātman)."
