महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-85, verse-29

अहं वक्ता च मन्त्रस्य होता शुक्रस्य चैव ह ।
यस्य बीजं फलं तस्य शुक्रं चेत्कारणं मतम् ॥२९॥
29. ahaṁ vaktā ca mantrasya hotā śukrasya caiva ha ,
yasya bījaṁ phalaṁ tasya śukraṁ cetkāraṇaṁ matam.
29. aham vaktā ca mantrasya hotā śukrasya ca eva ha
yasya bījam phalam tasya śukram cet kāraṇam matam
29. I am the reciter of the sacred hymn (mantra) and indeed the offerer of the vital fluid. The result belongs to him whose seed it is, if the vital fluid is considered the cause.
