महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-85, verse-16

अङ्गारसंश्रयाच्चैव कविरित्यपरोऽभवत् ।
सह ज्वालाभिरुत्पन्नो भृगुस्तस्माद्भृगुः स्मृतः ॥१६॥

16. aṅgārasaṁśrayāccaiva kavirityaparo'bhavat ,
saha jvālābhirutpanno bhṛgustasmādbhṛguḥ smṛtaḥ.

16. aṅgārasaṃśrayāt ca eva kaviḥ iti aparaḥ abhavat
saha jvālābhiḥ utpannaḥ bhṛguḥ tasmāt bhṛguḥ smṛtaḥ

16. ca eva aṅgārasaṃśrayāt aparaḥ kaviḥ iti abhavat.
bhṛguḥ jvālābhiḥ saha utpannaḥ,
tasmāt bhṛguḥ smṛtaḥ.

16. And from his connection with embers, another (being) became Kavi. Bhṛgu was born with flames, and for this reason, he is remembered as Bhṛgu.
