महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-258, verse-8

स तथेति चिरेणोक्त्वा स्वभावाच्चिरकारिकः ।
विमृश्य चिरकारित्वाच्चिन्तयामास वै चिरम् ॥८॥
8. sa tatheti cireṇoktvā svabhāvāccirakārikaḥ ,
vimṛśya cirakāritvāccintayāmāsa vai ciram.
8. saḥ tathā iti cireṇa uktvā svabhāvāt cirakārikaḥ
vimṛśya cirakāritvāt cintayāmāsa vai ciram
8. saḥ svabhāvāt cirakārikaḥ cireṇa tathā iti
uktvā cirakāritvāt vimṛśya vai ciram cintayāmāsa
8. He, being by nature slow to act, said "so be it" after a long time. Then, reflecting due to his deliberate nature, he pondered for a very long time.
