योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-11, verse-4

आत्मज्ञानं तु सर्वेषामिन्द्रियाणामगोचरम् ।
सत्तां केवलमायाति मनःषष्ठेन्द्रियक्षये ॥ ४ ॥
ātmajñānaṃ tu sarveṣāmindriyāṇāmagocaram ,
sattāṃ kevalamāyāti manaḥṣaṣṭhendriyakṣaye 4
4. ātma-jñānam tu sarveṣām indriyāṇām agocaram
sattām kevalam āyāti manaḥ-ṣaṣṭha-indriya-kṣaye
4. tu ātma-jñānam sarveṣām indriyāṇām agocaram
manaḥ-ṣaṣṭha-indriya-kṣaye kevalam sattām āyāti
4. However, the knowledge of the self (ātman) is imperceptible to all the senses. It comes into existence solely upon the cessation of the mind, which is considered the sixth sense.
