आसीत्पङ्काङ्कमखिलं भूमण्डलमसंचरम् ।
पूरितः पूर्णधाराभिः सिन्धुः सिन्धुरिवाम्बुना ॥ ८४ ॥
āsītpaṅkāṅkamakhilaṃ bhūmaṇḍalamasaṃcaram ,
pūritaḥ pūrṇadhārābhiḥ sindhuḥ sindhurivāmbunā 84
84. āsīt paṅkāṅkam akhilam bhūmaṇḍalam asañcaram

sindhuḥ pūrṇadhārābhiḥ pūritaḥ ambunā sindhuḥ iva
84. The entire earth's surface (bhūmaṇḍala) became covered in mud and impassable. The ocean (sindhu) was filled with abundant torrents, just as an elephant (sindhu) is filled by water.
