योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-48, verse-82

उदभूत्प्रथमं बाष्प उष्णोऽनलनिभो भुवः ।
पातालादभ्रवृन्दानां युद्धायेवात्तविभ्रमः ॥ ८२ ॥

82. First, a hot, fire-like vapor (bāṣpa) arose from the netherworld (pātāla) of the earth, as if it had assumed an impressive appearance for the battle of the cloud masses.
