Then, the four-faced Brahmā, accompanied by the gods, perfected beings (siddhas), sages (ṛṣis), serpent deities, and demons, seeing the son of Vāyu (the wind god) in his lap, a son who shone with the brilliance of the sun, fire, and gold, thereupon showed compassion.
