वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-56, verse-65

विवृत्य नयने क्रूरे मुष्टिमुद्यम्य दक्षिणम् ।
मैथिलीं हन्तुमारब्धः स्त्रीभिर्हाहाकृतं तदा ॥६५॥
65. vivṛtya nayane krūre muṣṭimudyamya dakṣiṇam ,
maithilīṃ hantumārabdhaḥ strībhirhāhākṛtaṃ tadā.

65. Rolling his cruel eyes and raising his right fist, he began to strike Maithilī (Sītā). At that moment, the women cried out 'Hāhā!'.
