वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-56, verse-137

अथाहं वाचमश्रौषं चारणानां शुभाक्षराम् ।
जानकी न च दग्धेति विस्मयोदन्तभाषिणाम् ॥१३७॥
137. athāhaṃ vācamaśrauṣaṃ cāraṇānāṃ śubhākṣarām ,
jānakī na ca dagdheti vismayodantabhāṣiṇām.
137. atha aham vācam aśrauṣam cāraṇānām śubha-akṣarām
jānakī na ca dagdhā iti vismaya-udanta-bhāṣiṇām
137. atha aham vismaya-udanta-bhāṣiṇām śubha-akṣarām
cāraṇānām vācam aśrauṣam iti "jānakī na ca dagdhā"
137. Then I heard the auspicious words of the Caraṇas (celestial bards), who were proclaiming astonishing news, (saying) 'Jānakī has not been burnt!'
