मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-63, verse-42

यदा तु बहुशो वीर प्रश्रयावनतस्य मे ।
न प्रादाद्याचितो विद्यामायुर्वेदात्मिकां मम ॥४२॥
42. yadā tu bahuśo vīra praśrayāvanatasya me .
na prādādyācito vidyāmāyurvedātmikāṃ mama.

prādāt yācitaḥ vidyām āyurvedātmakām mama
42. But when, O hero, though I repeatedly requested him, and was humble with reverence, he did not grant me my knowledge, which embodies the essence of Ayurveda.
