मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-63, verse-39

राक्षसा उवाच ।
ब्रह्ममित्रोऽष्टधा भिन्नमायुर्वेदमधीतवान् ।
त्रयोदशाधिकारञ्च प्रगृह्याथर्वणो द्विजः ॥३९॥
39. rākṣasā uvāca .
brahmamitro'ṣṭadhā bhinnamāyurvedamadhītavān .
trayodaśādhikārañca pragṛhyātharvaṇo dvijaḥ.
39. rākṣasaḥ uvāca brahmamitraḥ aṣṭadhā bhinnam āyurvedam
adhītavān trayodaśādhikāram ca pragṛhya ātharvaṇaḥ dvijaḥ
39. The demon said: Brahmamitra, a twice-born (dvija) associated with the Atharva Veda, studied the Ayurveda, which is divided into eight parts, having thoroughly grasped its thirteen sections.
