यथोक्तं वरुणेनाजौ तथा स निधनं गतः ।
व्यसुश्चाप्यपतद्भूमौ प्रेक्षतां सर्वधन्विनाम् ॥५६॥

56. As declared by Varuṇa in battle, so he met his demise. Lifeless, he also fell upon the ground in the sight of all the archers.
