तमर्जुनो नवत्या तु शराणां नतपर्वणाम् ।
आजघान भृशं क्रुद्धस्तोत्त्रैरिव महाद्विपम् ॥३७॥

37. tamarjuno navatyā tu śarāṇāṁ nataparvaṇām ,
ājaghāna bhṛśaṁ kruddhastottrairiva mahādvipam.

ājaghāna bhṛśam kruddhaḥ totraiḥ iva mahādvipam

37. tu bhṛśam kruddhaḥ arjunaḥ tam nataparvaṇām śarāṇām navatyā ājaghāna,
mahādvipam totraiḥ iva.

37. But Arjuna, exceedingly enraged, struck him with ninety well-notched arrows, just as one strikes a great elephant with goads.
