महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-60, verse-10

वामादजायताङ्गुष्ठाद्भार्या तस्य महात्मनः ।
तस्यां पञ्चाशतं कन्याः स एवाजनयन्मुनिः ॥१०॥
10. vāmādajāyatāṅguṣṭhādbhāryā tasya mahātmanaḥ ,
tasyāṁ pañcāśataṁ kanyāḥ sa evājanayanmuniḥ.
10. Vāmāt ajāyata aṅguṣṭhāt bhāryā tasya mahātmanaḥ
tasyām pañcāśataṃ kanyāḥ sa eva ajanayat muniḥ
10. From his left thumb, the great-souled one's wife was born. That very sage then begot fifty daughters through her.
