महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-60, verse-64

मातङ्ग्यास्त्वथ मातङ्गा अपत्यानि नराधिप ।
दिशागजं तु श्वेताख्यं श्वेताजनयदाशुगम् ॥६४॥
64. mātaṅgyāstvatha mātaṅgā apatyāni narādhipa ,
diśāgajaṁ tu śvetākhyaṁ śvetājanayadāśugam.

64. O King, Mātangī then gave birth to male elephants as her offspring. However, Śvetā gave birth to the fast-moving directional elephant named Śveta.
