नियतेन्द्रियशक्तिः सा जीवेनैव बहिःस्थिता ।
बौद्धतार्किकविज्ञानसंतानवदलक्षिता ॥ १३ ॥

13. That (subtle thread), with its sensory power restrained, is sustained externally only by the individual soul (jīva). It is imperceptible, like the continuous stream of knowledge (vijñāna) as conceived by Buddhists and logicians.
