विना परापकारेण तीक्ष्णा मरणमीहते ।
वेदनाद्रोधिता सूची कर्मपाशे प्रलम्बते ॥ ६६ ॥

66. vinā parāpakāreṇa tīkṣṇā maraṇam īhate |
vedanādrodhitā sūcī karmapāśe pralambate ||

66. tīkṣṇā parāpakāreṇa vinā maraṇam īhate.
vedanādrodhitā sūcī karmapāśe pralambate.

66. Without causing harm to others, the sharp one desires death. The needle, hindered by the pain it inflicts, dangles in the entanglement of its (karma) actions.
