तथा विवेकेऽभ्युदिते क्वाप्यविद्या विलीयते ॥ ९ ॥

Just as night (tamasvinī) vanishes somewhere when the sun (dinakara) rises, so too, ignorance (avidyā) disappears when discrimination (viveka) dawns.
