तापसो वा भविष्यामि नियतो वृक्षमूलिकः ।
नेतः प्रतिगमिष्यामि तामदृष्ट्वासितेक्षणाम् ॥४५॥

45. tāpaso vā bhaviṣyāmi niyato vṛkṣamūlikaḥ ,
netaḥ pratigamiṣyāmi tāmadṛṣṭvāsitekṣaṇām.

45. Alternatively, I will become an ascetic (tāpasa), self-controlled, dwelling at the foot of a tree (vṛkṣamūlika). I will not return from here without seeing that dark-eyed (asitekṣaṇā) one.
