महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-60, verse-27

कंसदासस्य दायाद न ते लज्जास्त्यनेन वै ।
अधर्मेण गदायुद्धे यदहं विनिपातितः ॥२७॥
27. kaṁsadāsasya dāyāda na te lajjāstyanena vai ,
adharmeṇa gadāyuddhe yadahaṁ vinipātitaḥ.
27. kaṃsadāsasya dāyāda na te lajjā asti anena
vai adharmeṇa gadāyuddhe yat aham vinipātitaḥ
27. kaṃsadāsasya dāyāda! te anena vai lajjā na
asti yat aham adharmeṇa gadāyuddhe vinipātitaḥ
27. "Oh heir of Kamsa's slave, do you not feel shame (lajjā) at this, that I was struck down in mace combat by a violation of natural law (adharma)?"
