महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-49, verse-65

तत्राप्युपस्पृश्य ततो महात्मा दत्त्वा च वित्तं हलभृद्द्विजेभ्यः ।
अवाप्य धर्मं परमार्यकर्मा जगाम सोमस्य महत्स तीर्थम् ॥६५॥
65. tatrāpyupaspṛśya tato mahātmā; dattvā ca vittaṁ halabhṛddvijebhyaḥ ,
avāpya dharmaṁ paramāryakarmā; jagāma somasya mahatsa tīrtham.

dattvā ca vittam halabhṛtdvijebhyaḥ

65. The great-souled one, of supremely noble actions, having bathed there and then having given wealth to the Brahmins of Balarāma, obtained merit (dharma) and went to that great sacred bathing place (tīrtha) of Soma.
