एवं विगणयन्नेव स मुनिर्मन्त्रपारगः ।
उत्पपाताश्रमात्तस्मादन्तरिक्षं विशां पते ।

jijñāsārthaṁ tadā bhikṣorjaigīṣavyasya devalaḥ.

24. O lord of the people, as he was thus contemplating, that sage Devala, who was adept in mantras, then flew up from that hermitage into the sky, intending to inquire about the mendicant Jaigīṣavya.
