महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-49, verse-35

अश्वमेधं क्रतुवरं नरमेधं तथैव च ।
आहरन्ति नरश्रेष्ठास्तेषां लोकेष्वपश्यत ॥३५॥
35. aśvamedhaṁ kratuvaraṁ naramedhaṁ tathaiva ca ,
āharanti naraśreṣṭhāsteṣāṁ lokeṣvapaśyata.
35. aśvamedham kratuvaram narameham tathā eva ca
āharanti naraśreṣṭhāḥ teṣām lokeṣu apaśyata
35. devalaḥ naraśreṣṭhāḥ ye aśvamedham kratuvaram tathā eva ca narameham āharanti,
teṣām lokeṣu apaśyata.
35. Devala observed the realms of those who are the best among men (naraśreṣṭhāḥ) and who perform the excellent Aśvamedha sacrifice, as well as the Naramegha sacrifice.
