दृष्ट्वा सर्वाणि सैन्यानि नाध्यवस्यंस्तयोर्जयम् ।
हत्वा मद्राधिपं पार्थो भोक्ष्यतेऽद्य वसुंधराम् ॥५८॥

58. dṛṣṭvā sarvāṇi sainyāni nādhyavasyaṁstayorjayam ,
hatvā madrādhipaṁ pārtho bhokṣyate'dya vasuṁdharām.

58. All the armies, witnessing this, could not ascertain victory for either of the two. (They speculated,) "After killing the lord of Madras (Śalya), Pārtha (Yudhiṣṭhira) will surely rule the earth today."
