महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-193, verse-28

शिखण्डिने च मुदितः प्रादाद्वित्तं जनेश्वरः ।
हस्तिनोऽश्वांश्च गाश्चैव दास्यो बहुशतास्तथा ।
पूजितश्च प्रतिययौ निवर्त्य तनयां किल ॥२८॥
28. śikhaṇḍine ca muditaḥ prādādvittaṁ janeśvaraḥ ,
hastino'śvāṁśca gāścaiva dāsyo bahuśatāstathā ,
pūjitaśca pratiyayau nivartya tanayāṁ kila.

28. And the king (of Daśārṇa), delighted, gave wealth to Śikhaṇḍin: elephants, horses, and cows, as well as hundreds of female servants. And (Drupada, Śikhaṇḍin's father), being honored, returned, having left his daughter (Śikhaṇḍin) there.
