महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-170, verse-4

तथा पतत्रिभिर्दिव्यैरुपेतं सुमनोहरैः ।
असुरैर्नित्यमुदितैः शूलर्ष्टिमुसलायुधैः ।
चापमुद्गरहस्तैश्च स्रग्विभिः सर्वतो वृतम् ॥४॥
4. tathā patatribhirdivyairupetaṁ sumanoharaiḥ ,
asurairnityamuditaiḥ śūlarṣṭimusalāyudhaiḥ ,
cāpamudgarahastaiśca sragvibhiḥ sarvato vṛtam.

4. On all sides, it was thus surrounded by divine, very charming birds, and by constantly exultant asuras who had spears, lances, and maces as weapons, and who held bows and hammers in their hands, all adorned with garlands.
