महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-170, verse-38

ततोऽहं देवदेवाय रुद्राय प्रणतो रणे ।
स्वस्ति भूतेभ्य इत्युक्त्वा महास्त्रं समयोजयम् ।
यत्तद्रौद्रमिति ख्यातं सर्वामित्रविनाशनम् ॥३८॥
38. tato'haṁ devadevāya rudrāya praṇato raṇe ,
svasti bhūtebhya ityuktvā mahāstraṁ samayojayam ,
yattadraudramiti khyātaṁ sarvāmitravināśanam.
38. tataḥ aham devadevāya rudrāya praṇataḥ
raṇe | svasti bhūtebhyaḥ iti uktvā
mahāstram samayojayam | yat tat
raudram iti khyātam sarvāmitravināśanam
38. Then, in battle, I bowed to Rudra, the God of gods, and having said, "May there be well-being to all beings," I deployed a great weapon. That weapon was known as "Raudra" (fierce) and was the destroyer of all enemies.
