महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-337, verse-1

जनमेजय उवाच ।
सांख्यं योगं पञ्चरात्रं वेदारण्यकमेव च ।
ज्ञानान्येतानि ब्रह्मर्षे लोकेषु प्रचरन्ति ह ॥१॥
1. janamejaya uvāca ,
sāṁkhyaṁ yogaṁ pañcarātraṁ vedāraṇyakameva ca ,
jñānānyetāni brahmarṣe lokeṣu pracaranti ha.

eva ca jñānāni etāni brahmarṣe lokeṣu pracaranti ha

1. Janamejaya said: 'O Brahmin sage, these systems of knowledge—Sāṅkhya, Yoga, Pañcarātra, and also the Vedāraṇyakas—are indeed widely practiced among people.'
