महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-1, verse-47

तत्र संशयितादर्थाद्योऽर्थो निःसंशयो भवेत् ।
तं जना बहु मन्यन्ते येऽर्थशास्त्रविशारदाः ॥४७॥
47. tatra saṁśayitādarthādyo'rtho niḥsaṁśayo bhavet ,
taṁ janā bahu manyante ye'rthaśāstraviśāradāḥ.

tam janāḥ bahu manyante ye arthaśāstra-viśāradāḥ
47. tatra saṃśayitāt arthāt yaḥ arthaḥ niḥsaṃśayaḥ bhavet tam ye arthaśāstra-viśāradāḥ janāḥ bahu manyante.
47. From doubtful matters, whichever meaning or outcome becomes certain, that is highly esteemed by people who are experts in the science of polity (arthaśāstra).
