महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-1, verse-11

कथं हि वृद्धमिथुनं हतपुत्रं भविष्यति ।
न ह्यहं पाण्डवेयस्य विषये वस्तुमुत्सहे ॥११॥
11. kathaṁ hi vṛddhamithunaṁ hataputraṁ bhaviṣyati ,
na hyahaṁ pāṇḍaveyasya viṣaye vastumutsahe.
11. katham hi vṛddhamithunam hataputram bhaviṣyati
na hi aham pāṇḍaveyasya viṣaye vastum utsahe
11. hi,
katham vṛddhamithunam hataputram bhaviṣyati? hi,
aham pāṇḍaveyasya viṣaye vastum na utsahe.
11. How will an aged couple, whose sons have been killed, possibly survive? I certainly cannot bear to live in the dominion of the Pāṇḍavas.
