महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-1, verse-36

सुप्तेषु तेषु काकेषु विस्रब्धेषु समन्ततः ।
सोऽपश्यत्सहसायान्तमुलूकं घोरदर्शनम् ॥३६॥
36. supteṣu teṣu kākeṣu visrabdheṣu samantataḥ ,
so'paśyatsahasāyāntamulūkaṁ ghoradarśanam.

36. While those crows were sleeping soundly and confidently all around, he suddenly saw an owl (ulūka) of terrifying appearance approaching.
