महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-1, verse-26

ईषच्चापि प्रवल्गन्ति ये सत्त्वा रात्रिचारिणः ।
दिवाचराश्च ये सत्त्वास्ते निद्रावशमागताः ॥२६॥
26. īṣaccāpi pravalganti ye sattvā rātricāriṇaḥ ,
divācarāśca ye sattvāste nidrāvaśamāgatāḥ.
26. īṣat ca api pravalganti ye sattvāḥ rātricāriṇaḥ
divācarāḥ ca ye sattvāḥ te nidrāvaśam āgatāḥ
26. ye rātricāriṇaḥ sattvāḥ īṣat ca api pravalganti,
ca ye divācarāḥ sattvāḥ te nidrāvaśam āgatāḥ
26. And to some extent, those beings that move about at night are frolicking, while those beings that move about by day have fallen under the sway of sleep.
