योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-35, verse-22

आत्मनात्मानमेवातः शान्तेनानुभवन्भवी ।
स्थितः सर्वेषु देहेषु तीक्ष्णत्वं मरिचेष्विव ॥ २२ ॥
ātmanātmānamevātaḥ śāntenānubhavanbhavī ,
sthitaḥ sarveṣu deheṣu tīkṣṇatvaṃ mariceṣviva 22
22. ātmanā ātmānam eva ataḥ śāntena anubhavan bhavī
sthitaḥ sarveṣu deheṣu tīkṣṇatvam mariceṣu iva
22. ataḥ bhavī (eṣaḥ) śāntena ātmanā ātmānam eva anubhavan,
mariceṣu tīkṣṇatvam iva,
sarveṣu deheṣu sthitaḥ.
22. Therefore, this existent (Self), experiencing its own Self (ātman) through its peaceful nature, abides in all bodies, just as pungency (tīkṣṇatvam) is present in peppers.
