वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-1, verse-7

बहवो दुर्लभाश्चैव ये त्वया कीर्तिता गुणाः ।
मुने वक्ष्याम्यहं बुद्ध्वा तैर्युक्तः श्रूयतां नरः ॥७॥
7. bahavo durlabhāścaiva ye tvayā kīrtitā guṇāḥ ,
mune vakṣyāmyahaṃ buddhvā tairyuktaḥ śrūyatāṃ naraḥ.
7. bahavaḥ durlabhāḥ ca eva ye tvayā kīrtitāḥ guṇāḥ |
mune vakṣyāmi aham buddhvā taiḥ yuktaḥ śrūyatām naraḥ
7. mune,
tvayā ye bahavaḥ ca eva durlabhāḥ guṇāḥ kīrtitāḥ,
aham buddhvā vakṣyāmi taiḥ yuktaḥ naraḥ śrūyatām
7. O sage, having considered (buddhvā) those many and rare qualities which you have enumerated, I will now speak about the person endowed with them. Let that person be heard!
