मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-121, verse-56

हन्तव्यस्तेन तरुजिद्देवानां पुरतो रिपुः ।
अयःशंकुस्तथा क्रूरो धर्मे स्थाप्यास्ततः प्रजाः ॥५६॥
56. hantavyastena tarujiddevānāṃ purato ripuḥ .
ayaḥśaṃkustathā krūro dharme sthāpyāstataḥ prajāḥ.
56. hantavyaḥ tena tarujit devānām purataḥ ripuḥ
ayaḥśaṅkuḥ tathā krūraḥ dharme sthāpyāḥ tataḥ prajāḥ
56. That cruel enemy, Tarujit, Ayahshanku, is to be slain by him in the presence of the gods. Thereafter, the people (prajā) are to be established in their natural law (dharma).
