मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-121, verse-37

न चापि रूपमात्रेऽहं लोभमस्य गता पितः ।
शौर्यविक्रमधैर्याणि हरन्त्यस्य मनो मम ॥३७॥
37. na cāpi rūpamātre'haṃ lobhamasya gatā pitaḥ .
śauryavikramadhairyāṇi harantyasya mano mama.
37. na ca api rūpa-mātre aham lobham asya gatā pitaḥ
śaurya-vikrama-dhairyāṇi haranti asya manaḥ mama
37. O father, I am not merely attracted to his physical form. His heroism, valor, and steadfastness captivate my mind.
