राजपुत्र उवाच ।
नाहमेतां ग्रहाष्यामि न चान्यां योषितं नृप ।
आत्मन्येव हि मे बुद्धिः स्त्रीमयी मनुजेश्वर ॥४१॥

41. rājaputra uvāca .
nāhametāṃ grahāṣyāmi na cānyāṃ yoṣitaṃ nṛpa .
ātmanyeva hi me buddhiḥ strīmayī manujeśvara.

The prince said: "O king, I will not accept this woman, nor any other woman. For my intellect (buddhi) is indeed fixed solely on the (inner) Self (ātman), O lord of men, and it is of a contemplative, feminine nature."
