मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततः करन्धमः प्राह पुत्रेयं गृह्यतां त्वया ।
विशालतनया सुभ्रूस्त्वयि हार्दवती दृढम् ॥४२॥

42. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tataḥ karandhamaḥ prāha putreyaṃ gṛhyatāṃ tvayā .
viśālatanayā subhrūstvayi hārdavatī dṛḍham.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then Karandhama said, "O son, let this daughter of Viśāla, the beautiful-browed one, be accepted by you. She is indeed deeply affectionate towards you."
