महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-18, verse-56

न तं देशं प्रपश्यामि पृथिव्यां पर्वतेषु वा ।
यत्र यातान्न वो हन्युः पाण्डवाः किं सृतेन वः ॥५६॥

56. na taṁ deśaṁ prapaśyāmi pṛthivyāṁ parvateṣu vā ,
yatra yātānna vo hanyuḥ pāṇḍavāḥ kiṁ sṛtena vaḥ.

56. na tam deśam prapaśyāmi pṛthivyām parvateṣu vā
yatra yātān na vaḥ hanyuḥ pāṇḍavāḥ kim sṛtena vaḥ

56. (aham) pṛthivyām vā parvateṣu tam deśam na prapaśyāmi,
yatra yātān vaḥ pāṇḍavāḥ na hanyuḥ.

56. I do not see any place on earth or in the mountains where, even if you were to go, the Pāṇḍavas (sons of Pāṇḍu) would not kill you. So, what is the use of your retreat?
