महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-66, verse-1

संजय उवाच ।
ततोऽपयाताः शरपातमात्रमवस्थिताः कुरवो भिन्नसेनाः ।
विद्युत्प्रकाशं ददृशुः समन्ताद्धनंजयास्त्रं समुदीर्यमाणम् ॥१॥
1. saṁjaya uvāca ,
tato'payātāḥ śarapātamātra;mavasthitāḥ kuravo bhinnasenāḥ ,
vidyutprakāśaṁ dadṛśuḥ samantā;ddhanaṁjayāstraṁ samudīryamāṇam.

1. Sanjaya said: Then, the Kurus, whose armies were shattered, stood at a distance of only an arrow's fall. From all sides, they saw Arjuna's (Dhanaṃjaya) weapon (astra) being discharged, shining like lightning.
