महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-133, verse-5

कर्ण उवाच ।
परित्रातुमिह प्राप्तो यदि पार्थं पुरंदरः ।
तमप्याशु पराजित्य ततो हन्तास्मि पाण्डवम् ॥५॥
5. karṇa uvāca ,
paritrātumiha prāpto yadi pārthaṁ puraṁdaraḥ ,
tamapyāśu parājitya tato hantāsmi pāṇḍavam.
5. karṇa uvāca | paritrātum iha prāptaḥ yadi pārtham purandaraḥ
| tam api āśu parājitya tataḥ hantā asmi pāṇḍavam
5. karṇa uvāca yadi purandaraḥ pārtham paritrātum iha prāptaḥ,
tam api āśu parājitya,
tataḥ pāṇḍavam hantā asmi
5. Karna said: "If Indra himself has arrived here to protect Arjuna, then having quickly defeated even him, I will then kill the son of Pāṇḍu (Arjuna)."
