विद्धि पुर्यष्टकं जीवो यो गर्भस्थेन्द्रियोदयः ।
यद्यथा भावयत्याशु तत्तथा परिपश्यति ॥ ३ ॥

Know that the individual self (jīva) is the subtle body (puryaṣṭaka), which is characterized by the emergence of sensory organs (indriya) while in the womb. Whatever it quickly conceives or imagines, that it perceives fully in the same manner.
