योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-25, verse-12

द्वादशाङ्गुलपर्यन्ताद्बाह्यादभ्युदितः प्रभो ।
यो वातस्तस्य तत्रैव स्वभावात्पूरकादयः ॥ १२ ॥
dvādaśāṅgulaparyantādbāhyādabhyuditaḥ prabho ,
yo vātastasya tatraiva svabhāvātpūrakādayaḥ 12
12. dvādaśāṅgulaparyantāt bāhyāt abhyuditaḥ prabho
yaḥ vātaḥ tasya tatra eva svabhāvāt pūrakādayaḥ
12. prabho,
yaḥ vātaḥ dvādaśāṅgulaparyantāt bāhyāt abhyuditaḥ,
tasya pūrakādayaḥ tatra eva svabhāvāt.
12. O Lord (prabho), the breath (vāta) that rises externally, extending up to twelve finger-breadths, then by its own intrinsic nature (svabhāva), the processes of inhalation (pūraka) and the others (such as retention and exhalation) occur right there.
