मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-7, verse-34

श्रोणीसूत्रादिसकलं मुक्त्वा भूषणसंग्रहम् ।
तरुवल्कलमाबध्य सह पत्न्या सुतेन च ॥३४॥

34. (He must depart) having abandoned the entirety of his hip-thread (śroṇīsūtra) and other such items, and his collection of ornaments (bhūṣaṇasaṅgraha), and having tied on garments made of tree-bark, along with his wife and son.
