राजोवाच ।
ब्रह्मंस्तामपि दास्यामि दक्षिणां भवतो ह्यहम् ।
व्रियतां द्विजशार्दूल यस्तवेष्टः प्रतिग्रहः ॥२६॥

26. rājovāca .
brahmaṃstāmapi dāsyāmi dakṣiṇāṃ bhavato hyaham .
vriyatāṃ dvijaśārdūla yastaveṣṭaḥ pratigrahaḥ.

rājan uvāca brahman tām api dāsyāmi dakṣiṇām bhavataḥ hi
aham vriyatām dvijaśārdūla yaḥ tava iṣṭaḥ pratigrahaḥ

26.
The King replied, "O Brāhmaṇa (brahman)! I will certainly give that sacrificial fee (dakṣiṇā) to you. O best of the twice-born (dvijaśārdūla), please choose whatever gift (pratigraha) you desire."
