मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-7, verse-32

हरिश्चन्द्र उवाच ।
यस्मिन्नपि मया काले ब्राह्मन् दत्ता वसुन्धरा ।
तस्मिन्नपि भवान् स्वामी किमुताद्य महीपतिः ॥३२॥
32. hariścandra uvāca .
yasminnapi mayā kāle brāhman dattā vasundharā .
tasminnapi bhavān svāmī kimutādya mahīpatiḥ.
32. hariścandra uvāca yasmin api mayā kāle brāhman dattā
vasundharā tasmin api bhavān svāmī kimuta adya mahīpatiḥ
32. Hariścandra said: "O brahmin, even at the very moment when I gave the earth (vasundharā), you became its master. How much more so are you its master today, since you are now the ruler (mahīpati) of the earth?"
